ALL Scouts should be in their Field/Class A uniforms!

The pre-req’s that each Scout is required to complete, before walking in the door (besides: READ THE BOOK!!).  

1. Read the CURRENT edition of the Merit Badge Book

2. Each Scout should bring something to write with and write on.  Consider using the Entrepreneurship Merit Badge Workbook, found here: http://usscouts.org/usscouts/mb/mb134.asp

3. Requirement 1. Please look up the definition of entrepreneurship and come ready to discuss it as well as how important entrepreneurship is to the US economy.   You may bring notes.

4. Requirement 2. Be ready to discuss “why having good skills in the following areas is important for an entrepreneur: communication, planning, organization, problem-solving, decision making, basic math, adaptability, technical and social skills, teamwork, and leadership.”    You may bring notes.

5. Requirement 3. You may wish to complete your interview BEFORE the clinic.  If you are unable to complete this interview before the clinic, bring your interview questions with you.  Come ready to ask at least TEN (10) questions.  Be ready to share your interview experience with the group.

6. Requirement 4. Bring your list of business ideas that you are interested in starting someday.  Be ready to discuss your ideas regarding the ‘best’ opportunity and why.

7. Requirement 5. Bring an outline of your written business plan for your idea.  It does not need to be complete; we will discuss and complete the plan during the clinic.   Review the Five (5) parts of the business plan in the Merit Badge Pamphlet.   Be sure to think about each section of parts a. through e.

8. Requirement 6. Think about this requirement and be ready to share your concerns about your plan and how you might overcome those concerns.
