Three Harbors Council - ContentCouncilImportant Update on COVID-19 Response
Dear Scouting Family:
Three Harbors Council continues to monitor the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus.  As always, the safety of our Scouts, volunteers and council employees is our top priority.  We are following the guidance of the Council Health & Safety Committee, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Scouting will do its part to minimize the spread of the coronavirus.  Starting Monday, March 16, all district and council activities and events will be conducted virtually or will be postponed or cancelled until at least April 17.  Additionally, our camp properties will be closed during this time.  We appreciate your understanding of any necessary adjustments in the interest of health and safety.

District Pinewood Derbies in Red Arrow & Southern Shores: April 4 – Postponed
Instructions on how to attend the virtual meetings will be sent out in advance.  Please contact your district executive if you have any questions about upcoming District or Council events.
Temporary Camp Closures
Starting on Monday, March 16, Indian Mound Scout Reservation and Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta will be closed for Scouting activities and camping.  If conditions allow, both camps will reopen on April 17.  Cabin reservations will be refunded or can be rolled over for future use.
Service Centers & Scout Shops
The Milwaukee and Kenosha Service Centers and Scout Shops are scheduled to be open during normal business hours.  Please check the council website for any updates.  No evening or weekend meetings will be held at the Milwaukee Service Center until at least April 17.
Unit Meetings
We recommend that units do not hold meetings, activities or outings during the statewide school closure, which is currently set for March 18 – April 6.  Individual Scouting units and chartering organizations should determine whether their regular meetings and activities will continue with safety as the number one priority.  Please utilize guidance provided by your local health authorities, school districts and chartering organizations.  We encourage unit leaders to consider ways to continue your Scouting programs via technology and virtual meetings.
Preventive Measures
One of the best forms of defense against the virus is prevention.  A Scout is Clean, and we all have a role to play in staying healthy.  Please familiarize yourself with the CDC guidelines on how to limit the spread of coronavirus.  If you have a fever, cough or other symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you believe you may have been exposed to COVID-19, you should not attend any Scouting events.
Above all, Three Harbors Council is dedicated to protecting our Scouts, volunteers and staff by providing a safe Scouting environment.  We will continue to update you on new developments.
Thank you for your understanding and commitment to the Scouting program.
In Scouting,
Andrew Hardin
Scout Executive
