Figuring out how to create a fun den meeting in a virtual setting can feel overwhelming. That’s why the National Council and 50 councils across the country worked together to produce these Cub Scout Adventures video resources to help den leaders. Keep your eyes open for the Rolling Tigers Adventure video; that video was made by volunteers and staff here in Three Harbors Council! While these videos do not take the place of the Cub Scout programs, you can use these videos to enhance your virtual den meetings.

Effective January 1, 2021, the Council Membership Fee will be $6.00 per registered youth and adult leader. The new fee is an increase from the current $2.00 fee. The Council Membership Fee is paid at recharter time and is in addition to the Boy Scouts of America membership fee of $66.00 for Scouts and $42 for leaders. The council fee is only paid once a year and is not prorated for members who join during the year. Please click here to view an infographic on BSA annual membership fees.
Three Harbors Council’s fee is increasing to help offset increased insurance costs associated with program and camp operations. The $6.00 fee will cover approximately 60% of the annual insurance costs. Other sources of council income will cover the remaining portion of the cost increase. Even with an increase in the membership fee, Scouting is significantly less expensive than other youth programs in our area, and incredibly impactful long-term.

Now is the time to begin planning your unit’s 2021 Family Friends of Scouting presentation. We fully understand the challenges many of our Scouting families are facing and appreciate the financial support so many of you provide to ensure Scouting is available to your children and other children like yours. Friends of Scouting is your opportunity to make a direct financial contribution to Three Harbors Council to enable the council to continue to provide high quality program support, facilities, insurance, and staff resources to you and your unit. Family Friends of Scouting presentations may look different than we’re used to seeing, but they are going to be just as important in 2021 as they have been in the past.
