What is a Unit Commissioner?
Unit Commissioners are District Leaders, former Cubmasters, Scout Leaders, and individuals with previous Scouting experience who want to stay involved with Scouting and share their knowledge to help all Scout units succeed. The Unit Commissioner serves as a link between the many resources of the district and guides the unit to the appropriate resource. As a Unit Commissioner, you will play many roles within the unit you are assigned to including, friend, representative, teacher, counselor, and unit doctor.
Gateway is looking for some Scouters to join our Unit Commissioner staff. If you are interested in helping Scout units within the district, this may be a role for you.
