This spring, Crew 599 held its Court of Honor. Harley Perkins was honored for earning his Outdoor Bronze Award. Harley chose First Aid, Cooking, Leave No Trace and Land Navigation as his required core options. He chose Lifesaving and Fishing as his electives for his award.
Harley started working on his Bronze award a year and a half ago when he joined the Crew. He is also a member of Troop 221 in Oak Creek, which helped him with completing some of the teaching requirements and table top displays that were required to earn this award.
Lifesaving and First Aid are the two life skills that he knows he will always need in his life. Harley is working on completing the requirements for the Venturing Ranger Award which is the other half of the Outdoor Bronze Award.
The Crew also honored Mr. Tripi by presenting him with a mentoring pin from the Crew and all of the Scouts he has helped over the many years and his service to the Boy Scouts. We are looking forward to our next Court of Honor and a few more awards earned by Crew 599.
