It’s been a very busy fall for the Multicultural Program in Three Harbors Council. We are now providing programs in over 60 different schools and sites with many more getting ready to start in the New Year.
Our summer programs concluded with over 200 youth from our southern districts and more than 500 youth from our northern districts experiencing a day of camp at either Indian Mound Scout Reservation in Oconomowoc or Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta in Burlington. All youth got to spend time swimming in the lakes and having fun with our Archery or BB gun programs or other team building games and events.
The Scouting thru Soccer program is coming together with teams from our southern districts competing out of the Sturtevant Soccer Sportsplex. We look forward to a soccer season of Scouting, fun and recreational activity.
October was an especially busy month, with our Heart of Milwaukee Cub Olympacs, The Council-wide Popcorn sale (which included the Scoutreach Sites!) and a bus load of Scouts from the Kenosha Boys and Girls Club spending an evening of “horror” at our annual Haunted Hayride at Camp Oh-Da-Ko-Ta. A fun time was had by all getting spooked by the Troops who volunteered their time and creativity putting on all the fun Halloween interactive displays.
We have many more activities coming up throughout the winter and spring and look forward to all the fun Scouting is bringing to our youth!
