| Fall Event - Cub Olympacs The Heart of Milwaukee fall event was a huge success. It continues to grow as word of this fun time continues to attract Scouts and their families from all over Milwaukee. We had well over 70 people in attendance at Hawthorne Glen Nature Center. The morning started chilly, but developed into a beautiful day and was well organized and run, thanks to our great team of volunteers led by the irrepressible Lynn Seif. Thanks to Truck 16 of the Milwaukee Fire Department who was again on hand to allow the children to experience the thrill of climbing upon and sitting in this amazing vehicle. With a day full of fun activities, physical challenges and great camaraderie, it’s no wonder everyone stayed and gathered at the fire pit for more fellowship and fun. Thanks to the youth volunteers who lead the Scouts, their friends and families in typical silly Scout songs and funny skits. Numerous awards were given to the Cub Scouts and fellow attendees who exhibited great skills, good sportsmanship and a positive attitude. Congratulations to Pack 98 from Blessed Savior for taking home the top trophy for participation. It is always so nice to see so many families creating memories for a lifetime. | |
