Direct Responsibilities:
 
Mark Knapp is serving as Development Director. Mark will lead many of the Council’s Special Events including the golf tournament, Distinguished Citizen Luncheon and Tailgate for Character in partnership with the Special Events Coordinator.  Mark will also lead the United Way relationship, Friends of Scouting Campaign, Foundations Campaign and project sales and gifts in kind.  Mark’s office will be on the second floor of the Milwaukee Council Service Center, adjacent to the CFO’s office.  He will report directly to the Scout Executive.  The council will continue its search to fill the open Director of Development position. 
  
 
Personal Background:

Mark moved to Milwaukee from Tampa, Florida, where he worked the past two years as a Professional Relations Representative at Chapters Health Systems. Previously, Mark served for four years as the Resource Development and Marketing Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Door County in Sturgeon Bay, WI. During his tenure, the organization purchased and renovated its first facility, while winning multiple national awards from the Boys and Girls Clubs of America for their marketing initiatives.

Mark holds a master’s degree in non-profit management and leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is also a graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. He is a Wisconsin native and Packers fan. He enjoys playing and coaching soccer, running, camping, and spending time with his friends and family.
