Cub Scout Online Adventure Clinics
Saturday, March 6, 2021

We have 5 exciting adventure clinics for all ages on Saturday, March 6th.  Sessions will run for approximately an hour and a half with a break in the middle.  Please see below for more information.  The cost for each clinic is $8.00 per Three Harbors Council Scout and $15.00 per Out of Council Scout.

 

Kindergarteners - Earn Animal Kingdom and Mountain Lion Adventures.  Guest speakers will be firefighters.

Items to be completed outside of the clinic:

  • Choose two energy savings projects to practice for two weeks
  • Participate in a service project

Animal Kingdom

The Animal Kingdom adventure introduces Lions to the concepts of service, responsibility, and citizenship.

Mountain Lion

The Mountain Lion adventure has Lions learn about having fun and staying safe outdoors. Mountain Lion is one of the required adventures for the Lion badge.

First Graders - Earn Tiger Safe and Smart Team Tiger Adventures.  Guest speakers will be firefighters.

Items to be completed outside of the clinic:

  • Memorize your address
  • Memorize emergency contact phone numbers
  • Make fire escape map of your house
  • Find smoke detectors in your house and check batteries
  • Participate in a service project
  • Select a job in your family team and do it for three weeks

Tiger Safe and Smart

In this adventure, Tigers will learn that a safe child is one who is aware of his or her surroundings and knows how to respond to danger.

Team Tiger

This adventure will introduce Tigers to the concept of teamwork and also to the idea that–even at a young age–they can make a difference in the world.  Some of the activities in this adventure are home-based and involve the family and/or the adult partner.

Second Graders - Earn Council Fire and Hometown Heroes Adventures.  Guest speakers will be firefighters.

Items to be completed outside of the clinic:

  • Participate in a community service project
  • Share the name of a hero with your family

Council Fire

This adventure will give Wolf Scouts the opportunity to learn more about their neighborhood and community structure, how they can be a part of their community through service, and how others have provided service to our country.

Hometown Heroes

In this adventure, Wolf Scouts will learn about the heroes within their community.  By getting to know some real-life heroes and honoring their service, the Wolves will see the importance of living the Scout Oath and Scout Law, and gain an understanding of what makes a hero.

Wolf Adventures
1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Third Graders - Earn Paws for Action and Forensics Adventures.  Guest speaker will be a retired Police Officer.

Items to be completed outside of the clinic:

  • Find out about two famous Americans
  • Make a list of emergency numbers for your family
  • Participate in a cleanup project in your community or participate in a patriotic community parade or civic event

Paws for Action

In this adventure, Bears will learn how to take care of themselves and be a help to their family, community, and the environment.  Additionally, they will continue to learn about patriotism and loyalty to our country.

Forensics

This activity will help the Bear Scout learn about being observant, looking for clues, and solving situations
with those clues.

Bear Adventures
11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Fourth & Fifth Graders - Earn Building a Better World and Build My Own Hero Adventures.  Guest speaker will be an Alderman.

Items to be completed outside of the clinic:

  • Learn about a real life hero in another part of the world
  • Identify an energy problem in your community and find out what caused it

Building a Better World

The wide range of activities in this adventure will help Webelos Scouts become strong, participating citizens
in their communities, their nation, and the world at large.

Build My Own Hero

Through this adventure, Webelos Scouts will discover what being a ‘hero’ means to them as well as the
community they live in.  Boys will meet local heroes and learn about everyday heroism around the world.  Each Scout will also imagine his own superhero and create a story of how that hero helps others.
